Verse 1

Here among the gathered people

Mercy has prepared this place

We have come with songs of gladness

We have come to bless Your name

You are worthy of all honour

You are faithful through all days

So with one voice now we lift You

Lord, receive our praise

Chorus

This is a house of praise

Where the name of Jesus is lifted high

This is a house of praise

Hearts awake

Voices raised

All the glory belongs to Jesus

This is a house of praise

Verse 2

From the broken to the grateful

From the burdened to the free

You are gathering every story

Into one redeemed song

For the cross and resurrection

For the hope that made a way

For the mercy still among us

We will bless Your name

Chorus

This is a house of praise

Where the name of Jesus is lifted high

This is a house of praise

Hearts awake

Voices raised

All the glory belongs to Jesus

This is a house of praise

Bridge

Let the church arise and sing now

Let the people bless the Lord

Let the sound of grateful worship

Fill this place with holy joy

Let the church arise and sing now

Let the saints lift high His name

For the glory of our Saviour

This will be a house of praise

Outro

This is a house of praise

The heart behind the song

A song for
praise.

House of Praise exists to give listeners and gathered worshippers a clear way into praise. The finale gathers the release into its fullest church-wide praise moment.

Explore the meaning

At its heart, the song treats praise as something to be received before it is performed. The focus is not on musical display, but on helping attention turn towards Jesus with language that feels plain, prayerful and singable.

The title gives the song its centre of gravity. Around that centre, the words and movement of the song hold joy, confidence and gathered exaltation, making room for personal devotion and shared congregational response.

For listening and worship

For everyday listening, the song offers worship language for moments when praise needs to be remembered and sung, not merely understood.

For churches and worship leaders, it is shaped as a closing declaration: clear in focus, connected to the wider EP, and intended to serve gathered voices as well as personal prayer.
