Verse 1

Jesus, over every power

Jesus, over every name

You are worthy of all honour

You remain the same

In the gathering of Your people

In the rising of our song

We will tell Your matchless glory

You alone are strong

Chorus

Be lifted high

Jesus, be lifted high

Over all

Jesus, be lifted high

Let our worship rise before You

Let the name of Jesus shine

In this church, in every nation

Jesus, be lifted high

Verse 2

When the voices of this world fade

Still Your kingdom will remain

Every idol, every rival

Falls before Your name

You are mercy for the sinner

You are hope for all who call

And the glory of the heavens

Belongs to You alone

Chorus

Be lifted high

Jesus, be lifted high

Over all

Jesus, be lifted high

Let our worship rise before You

Let the name of Jesus shine

In this church, in every nation

Jesus, be lifted high

Lift Him higher

To the One all praise belongs

Jesus Christ, our hope and song

Lift Him higher

To the One all praise belongs

Jesus, be lifted high

Outro

Be lifted high

The heart behind the song

A song for
jesus.

Be Lifted High exists to give listeners and gathered worshippers a clear way into jesus. The finale gathers the EP into its broadest declaration of Jesus exalted above every rival and every name.

Explore the meaning

At its heart, the song treats jesus as something to be received before it is performed. The focus is not on musical display, but on helping attention turn towards Jesus with language that feels plain, prayerful and singable.

The title gives the song its centre of gravity. Around that centre, the words and movement of the song hold adoration, confidence and praise, making room for personal devotion and shared congregational response.

For listening and worship

For everyday listening, the song offers worship language for moments when jesus needs to be remembered and sung, not merely understood.

For churches and worship leaders, it is shaped as a closing exaltation: clear in focus, connected to the wider EP, and intended to serve gathered voices as well as personal prayer.
