Purpose

Why this release exists.

This EP exists to bring the worshipper back to the cross with clarity and gratitude. It is written to be reverent without becoming heavy in a way that loses congregational lift.

The release gives space for the cost of Christ's sacrifice, the assurance of redemption, the tenderness of mercy and the breadth of love poured out for the world.

Arc

The journey through the EP.

Wounded for Us opens by setting the scene of Christ's suffering and love. At the Cross then names the central place of mercy and redemption.

Paid in Full moves the release into assurance, Mercy Flowing draws the worshipper into tenderness and forgiveness, and Love Poured Out closes with the widest congregational expression of gratitude.

The heart behind it

A release shaped for gathered worship and everyday listening.

Each EP is developed as part of a wider worship-serving catalogue: clear songs, careful themes and a human-led creative process that keeps theology, singability and pastoral usefulness in view.

The centre of mercy

The release keeps returning to the cross as the place where mercy is not abstract but costly, personal and saving.

Assurance after reverence

The sequence moves carefully from the weight of sacrifice into confidence that Christ has fully accomplished salvation.

Love as the final word

The closing movement is not guilt but worship: love poured out, received and returned in praise.

For worship use

Created with the church in mind.

At the Cross is part of a catalogue written to serve local churches, worship leaders and everyday listeners. The songs are intended to be clear enough to sing, focused enough to teach, and honest enough to carry prayer as well as praise.

The EP is available to purchase and stream on major music platforms, with worship resources shaped to support churches, leaders and listeners as the catalogue grows.

Human-led responsibility

AI-aided tools may help explore demos and arrangements, but final lyrical, theological, production and release decisions remain under Chrystopher James's care.

Part of a wider arc

This EP sits within the first-year GPW journey from surrender, faithfulness and grace through hope, holiness, the cross, resurrection, Jesus, praise and peace.
